Entrepreneurial Encouragement
Psalm 46:10 ESV – “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
As entrepreneurs, we are “on” all the time. We shoulder an immense volume of responsibilities, and our family, teams, and other circles of influence look to us for guidance and confidence in the vision we champion. It’s in times of retreat we can look to God, who holds all things together, to strengthen us. I personally find my renewal by retreating to the outdoors. This allows me to connect with God, experience rest and renewal, and gain clarity and guidance as I embrace solitude and stillness.
Each summer I plan a trip with my family to step away from the business and experience the much-needed rest and retreat, so I might be recharged to continue championing the vision of what God has entrusted to me. This summer we’re adventuring in Grand Teton National Park (see pics below). If you don’t have a rhythm for rest and renewal, my encouragement to you is to discover what time of year you can realistically steal away from your business to experience rest, renewal, and create memories with your loved ones.
